Why "Unda"?
I have always found myself returning to water: rivers, lakes, oceans, and even the West Coast rainfall on my face. On water's banks and shores, I've sorted through a lot of my own grief, pain and transitions. I have reconnected to myself, played, cried, and breathed a little deeper. Unda, Latin for wave, is meant to capture the healing way water moves, breathes, stills, storms, and holds.

I sincerely and gratefully acknowledge that Unda Counselling resides on the stolen unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Stó:lō, Kwantlen, Katzie, Matsqui, and Semiahmoo First Nations. I acknowledge the ways that these peoples have cared for these lands from time immemorial and the cultural and human genocide committed by White European settlers, of who I descend from.
